Mrs. Taylor

Hello Lake Ridge Leopards.  My name is Amy Taylor and I have been teaching in the Nampa School District for 22 years with most of my career teaching 5th grade.  I taught at Greenhurst (2nd and 5th grades) and Owyhee (5th grade) previous to joining the Lake Ridge team.  There is so much to learn in 5th grade before embarking on the middle school journey.  We study about American History with the 13 Colonies and how we gained our independence from Britain, adaptations in science and fractions galore!  Our journey is a short 9 months but it is well worth the ride.  

 

Personal Information: 

My undergraduate degree is from University of Idaho - Go Vandals.  I have my masters from BSU and my administrative credentials from NNU.  My husband and I have 2 girls and a cat. Reading is my favorite past time as well as playing board games with my family.  Some of my favorite children books are The Shadow Children Series by Margaret Haddix, any book by Kate DiCamillo and the Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling.
